Every pair ships with room to change. Here's how to make yours fit exactly right — and what to hand your tailor.

What's included

Each order comes with an alteration card: the seam allowances on that specific pair, and a short cheatsheet any tailor can follow in five minutes.

The common four

• Waist — we leave enough in the back seam to take the waist in (or let it out) by up to an inch without touching the shape.
• Leg / taper — want them slimmer through the calf? A tailor can taper from the knee down and keep the original hem.
• Hem length — shorten to your exact break. Ask them to keep the original hem (the "European hem") so it still looks factory.
• Rise — small rise adjustments are possible on most fits; ask before you buy if this matters to you.

Tailor cheatsheet

Tell your tailor: 100% cotton, non-stretch, mid-weight denim. Generous seam allowance at waist and inseam. Keep original hem where possible. That's all they need.

Care so they last

Cold wash inside out. Line dry. Iron warm if you must. Wash less than you think — denim wants to be worn, not laundered. Raw indigo styles bleed for the first few washes, so keep them away from anything pale.
